Our Executive Chef, Didier Casaguana and his team of chefs will prepare your dishes with passion, demonstrating the highest standards of French cuisine, fusing seasonal produce such as spring lamb, fresh fish, oysters and shellfish with regional specialities such as truffles, to great effect. Our extensive wine cellar contains some of the finest wines in the Dordogne as well as many affordable vintages.
Situated in the East Wing of the Chateau – Restaurant “Les Fresques” is distinguishable by its elaborate cuisine made using only the freshest local and seasonal produce. The menu is redesigned each week and new dishes – as well traditional favourites – can’t fail to impress even the most discerning palate.
Inside the Restaurant “Les Fresques”, the enchanting and elegant decor has a frescos wall, warm shades and picture windows which evoke an inviting and intimate atmosphere. On balmy summer evenings, dine “Al fresco” on the terrace and experience wonderful views across the lake and vineyards.

“There are two gourmet restaurants at Château des Vigiers, “Brasserie le Chai” and “Les Fresques”, both were excellent but the Michelin Star “Les Fresques” superseded our expectations of fine dinning. “Les Fresques” is situated in the 16th Century Château with a lovely terrace overlooking the domain. They serve local delicacies and offers an extensive wine list of international wines. We had selected the “Esprit du Chef” tasting menu and were content with the entire “Haut Cusine” experience. Congratulations to Didier Casaguana, Head Chef and the entire professional team that served us. Your dedication and professionalism made our dinning experience memorable!”
“My husband and I were there for lunch the other day. We both had the “Esprit du Chef” menu – a wonderful experience. Seven small, exquisite dishes, served by the chef himself with other staff. All delicious – expensive, yes, but you feel you’ve had something really special. It was a gorgeous day and we were seated in an open doorway looking out over the terrace and view. I did feel that the wines were priced very high, but aside from that all was perfect.”

“We had the dinner in a private dining room off of the main restaurant, service was excellent, attentive but not obtrusive. Started with the pan fried fois gras which was spectacular as it melted in your mouth. Ended with a heavenly chocolate and walnut dessert that seemed light but so tasty
