Hello everyone, I'm surprised to see how few golfers go on the driving range before their competition ! ????
I mostly see low handicappers. I know that for many it's just a hobby, but still, the better you play, the more fun you have ????.
I can tell you that the first balls I hit on the driving range when I am cold are about 25% shorter (unfortunately, this becomes much more noticeable with age). It's up to you to decide whether you want to drive on the 1st at 150 meters instead of 200, but you're not going to make it any easier.
Also, it's helpful to take the day's temperature. Am I going a little to the right today ? Or rather far to the left (sometimes both????????)? In short, I think we can quantify a loss of 5 points per round if we don't hit the driving range.
I'd like to take this opportunity to remind you that practice balls must remain on the practice range; you can't put them in your bag to finish them the next time ????????????.
Happy golf, everyone.
Vincent TROJANI.
